I notice this was posted in 2009. Any news on the coaches one?
Also, Thank you for the 12 sub scoresheet info. I I wondered if there was a version to copy and burn to dvd for my youth group to learn.
        Great work

Ya I think this is a good site for future development of referees in New Zealand. I have a few questions about the upcoming nationals. Is New Zealand volleyball looking to card referees during the tournament (gain qualifications). Nationals provides a unique opportunity that refs can gain Professional Development during the week of competition and NZ volleyball should take advantage of this.

Hi Teryn, Thanks for the feedback. This year VNZ isn’t conducting any referee assessments at the Club Champs. However, VNZ is considering opportunities for upgrading as we move forward with referee development.

    Hey refman,
This is just spot on Mate, you make the rest of us wannabe top refs look good by association, keep it up brother, too much.

Great idea, love the scoresheet powerpoint and will play it to all our players. Some of the links at the top won’t download on my school computer (oops, caught myself doing volleyball stuff when I should be prepariing lessons) I’ll try at home.

This is a very good resource and I would encourage everyone to vote on the introduction or rather the non introduction of the new net touch rule for U15 players.
Respect for the net has to be built into young novice players and I don’t really want my juniors playing against teams that don’t have that same respect.
The new rule will work at senior and international level because the present group of players playing at these levels have been brought up under the old system!
By the way how many times are you allowed to vote?
    I’m only joking!!
Any way this is a great concept and an excellent forum for debate.
Well done to who ever set it up.

At s schools nationals can we please clear up the reaching rule to avoid confusion that took place at nth Islands. Blocking over the net of an attack hit regardless of what number it is is not reaching and should be encouraged. Thats my beef!

      Hi there Alan,

Thanks for the comment, we’ll get the Christmas Elves to work on some information about this! Check back in the new year for some helpful officiating hints regarding reaching.
